Sveta’s current project is LAPLUSTRE – a performance & production collaboration with rock/electronic musician & DJ Estée Louder. They first started working together in 2015 on a number of remix projects commissioned by Qantas Airways, a medley for International pop artist Betty Who’s live performance and a New York VOGUE – style remix for Australian Indigenous superstar Jessica Mauboy. Recent musical scores commissioned by International fashion magazine RUSSH online are currently featured in 3 films and also the new Alex Perry bridal couture online campaign. @Laplustre produces original music primarily in the techno sphere.
DJ Sveta is a truly multi-genre DJ. She intuitively reads her audience and plays accordingly, drawing from her enormous library of classic, current and emerging sounds, weaving her way seamlessly through the tracks. She dauntlessly crosses between disco and house, vogue beats to tribal, tech, techno and beyond. A 10,000+ vinyl collection spanning over 2 decades teamed with her passion for discovering new styles yields a unique freshness to Sveta’s sound. Her lifelong obsession with dance music gives her the unique ability to contextualise the music within her sets. Her flawless mixing skills assist her in taking the listener on a heartfelt journey, from a purist House or Techno set to a multi-genre party experience.
Sveta has also made a name for herself as a highly sought after Wedding DJ, especially after her high profile appearances as the DJ at all Marriage Equality rallies in Sydney & for the ‘YES’ announcement in Canberra with Senator Penny Wong. She has extensive experience of playing at both traditional and same-sex weddings and hasn’t found much difference between them.
